I went home to visit family at Easter and it was nearly impossible to get online down there, the population swelled to at least 10 times the usual number of people across the long weekend. So I decided to use the time to just take a break from posting everyday. My mum has been having chemo and has lost all of her hair and it was good to spend time with her and I also visited my sister and played with my nephews everyday - at 5 and 7 they are such little characters.
Seagull rock is one of my favourite spots but I am used to having it to myself and I like to sit and watch the sea and read a book, but it was crowded like everywhere else.
Stopped for a few shots with my infrared converted camera, this shot has not had any post-processing done, it is all done by the altered camera sensor.
I will try to catch up with posting and also visiting all of your shots of the coming days.
It doesn't need any other processing, striking image. Hope your mom does well with the chemo, it must be difficult to be seperated from her while she is in treatment. Nice spot to contemplate, vast and indifferent sea yet comforting in putting some perspective upon how small we and our problems are. I had a poster of the 19 million closest galaxies visible from the Northern hemisphere, just a quick look when stressing in grad school helped.
That's such a gorgeous shot - I can just picture sitting there and letting the waves set the pace. Wonderful.
I remember sitting with my mum (in a wig/turban) during chemo.... wishing her and all your family love and strength at this unsettling time.x
Beautiful photo! It looks like such a peaceful place. I'm glad that you were able to go home and spend time with your mother. I wish you and your family well.
Impressive place and beautiful shot. Welcome back! Its good to spend time with family especially in difficult times. I hope your Moms treatment will help her.
