Budapest - Hungarian House of Parliament

I really liked the gothic revival style of this parliament building sitting on the banks of the Danube. As I typed Danube I realised that I saw the Danube at a number of points along its length first of all in Austria, then daily for my time in Belgrade, in Hungary, Romania, Croatia and Bulgaria, if only I had visited Germany, Slovakia, Ukraine and Moldova and then I would have been to each country it travels though. I never saw it looking blue, but often had a Strauss waltz in my head when I saw it.
I also took shots of it by night, I am pretty sure those are shots on the negatives I loaned to friends who accompanied me on that trip, and I haven't seen the negatives since .... or the friends in about 5 years

This is fantastic! And I found that whenever I have seen the Danube, it's always been a really pretty shade of green. :-)

Too bad about the negatives. This is an amazing building --the architecture is stunning and you can get an idea of its breadth from the cars below. Wow.

Some friends don't deserve the title - what a regrettable loss. But - this shot is breathtaking, showcasing an age of architecture that is resplendent in detail and stateliness.

An imposing structure, I imagine it must have been an incredible sight lit up at night and reflected in the river. Too bad about the negatives, a divorce and the ex's multiple moves lost much of my film history. Such is life.
