10 years ago this was the view from my apartment living room window, looking from Novi Beograd (New Belgrade) across to Beograd.
Beograd means white city which was an appropriate name that day for the city known to English speakers as Belgrade.
I was looking at this photo and thinking of the view out my window every day. It made me think of all the places I have lived and how many of them that I can barely remember the daily view. A quick calculation I estimate I have lived at approximately 32 addresses over the years. This is not holidays, this is the number of places I have called home. That is probably why I get itchy feet and want to be on the move again. I am just not very good at being in the one place, with the one view, year after year. I need a new view (and I need to keep recording those differing views with my camera).
Good thinking - we lived in some places for only a few months and I only looked back to realise we didn't have any memories on 'film'. I lived in the same house for 22 years until I was married then we moved every few years (and once 3 times in a year) so now I'm sort of happy to stay put - yet expecting to move any time.
