Jumping fingerlings by lbmcshutter

Jumping fingerlings

the sea is often so glassy smooth here that you can see the fish jumping. I generally assume they are jumping to feed on insects. As well as seeing larger fish jump, sometimes I have seen masses of baby fish jumping en masse. Whilst my little micro 4/3 camera and super telephoto lens are not as fast or as crisp as my 5DII with 70-200 f2.8 - it is significantly lighter nd easier to carry and I was quite pleased I managed ot get a few shots of these baby fish jumping.
What an amazing sight! Great capture, and what an experience to just see this!
