I love stopping by Oakley Street in Cambridge in the winter. Lots of migrating ducks spend the winter there and humans don't bother them at all. It's a dead end street that has a crumbling cement wall. (It's nick named The Wall Of Shame because it's so easy to get pictures of these ducks) I was sitting at one end of the wall when this American Wigeon landed on the other end to check me out. After a nice chat he looked at me and said Are you Ready? I was ...... I got some nice captures but this was my favorite.
Tomorrow I go to Assateague in hopes of finding the two snowy owls that have arrived.
This one is extraordinary when viewed on black! Fabulous timing to catch him in flight. Nice that you had a good chat with him before he posed for you!
