When I saw a post that they would be putting 500 lanterns in Carroll Creek on New Years Eve a few weeks ago I knew where I hoped to be for a few pics. It wasn't easy leaving the house at 8:30pm (we are old) but so glad I went for its first year to see the luminaries float down the creek. The lminaries are meant to inspire remembrance, good fortune and renewed hope, and joy. I was back home by 11 pm to ring in the New Year with Bob and Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin Eve.
