Spent the day in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia . It has been closed due to the government shutdown. There were Park Rangers everywhere happy to be back at work. It was a lovely day to be outdoors. Found this wonderful spot by the Shenandoah River before heading into the historic town. Will put a shot of the town in my extras album.
Tomorrow Bob and I head to DC for my free overnight stay and dinner at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel . Won it for my Show Us Your Blooms contest photo. So glad all the monuments are back open. Now I just need the weather to cooperate.
Beautiful and I've been meaning to get there as it has been several years! So it seems we are indeed neighbors. By the way, you got the one Black Hills pier photo spot on. The fall photo was on Lake Triadelphia in Brookeville, MD. One of my other connections also lives in Germantown. I'm always amazed when we're connecting with people all over the world and find a nearby neighbor! Thanks for the follow and following you back!
There are so many interesting elements to this composition! I really like the framing and the textures! you are doing such a wonderful job with your photography!
@grammyn thank you so much... I'm really trying. Took lots of different views here and liked this one the best. After a couple shots I thought put something in the foreground and it seemed to work. So many things go through my head now when taking a picture.
I hope you enjoy your stay at that lovely hotel. I remember when you first posted about it. ENJOY!!!
