So back to the basin for one more sunrise picture. Thought I had a great idea for Bob to follow me to metro ( I'm afraid to drive around DC ) and I'd drop my car off so when I returned he wouldn't have to come pick me up. Well, Bob hit something in the road as he pulled into the parking garage and it flattened his tire. Ugh !!! It's 5am in the morning and his new car isn't equipped with a spare. REALLY !!! He drove me to the basin in my car and spent the day dealing with his. I felt so bad and it did put a damper on my Tidal Basin visit. I spent all day in DC arriving back at the metro at 7pm and Bob still had to meet me there because he had the keys to my car. My plan to make it easier for him went so wrong but he dealt with it all and didn't blame me. I sure picked one amazing man 40 years ago.....
Love this and such a sweet story! The silhouettes are so wonderfully intriguing to look at one by one...Love the man against the golden stream across the water, the couple holding hands and the tripods. So unexpected to see the shot...NOT of the sunrise but rather of the people coming for the sunrise
So much to see in this one so much to comment on. At the head of the list are the silhouettes of course. What a fabulous variety you have captured. It could've all just been photographers with their tripods but you caught so much more than that. Next are all the fabulous colors and the fabulous color gradient from dark on the left moving into the light sunrise on the right. And of course the Cherry blossoms themselves. Again seen best on the left in the dark area of the photo but still suggested by shape on the right. Finally the monument and it's reflection on the water to give witness to your location. This one definitely needed a FAV.
So sorry to hear about the troubles of your loving man. You definitely have a keeper.
