Came back from the beach and was greeted by my dogwood in full bloom. It usually blooms around Easter but Easter was very early this year. Got the six foot ladder out to try and get even with the branches.
I am with @rach_who. As a matter fact that's the first thing I thought of after I read your narrative. I have to confess though you have an outstanding picture because of your willingness to go the extra step.
