Got a lightning app (iLightningCam2) for my IPhone and was able to try it out tonight. We had lightning yesterday but it was still light out and the pictures it captured were just a blown out sky. Tried again today since it was happening after dark. Put my phone on one of those grabby tripods and connected it to my front porch bench. Turned on the app and it did the rest triggering the camera on the phone when lightning struck.
@grammyn this was so much easier... set it up , go back in the house and watch the Olympics for a bit then go get phone and start looking through about 30 pictures it took . Really seemed like cheating . Too easily ....
