Older Than Dirt

This is the underside of a horseshoe crab . There were plenty washing ashore this weekend. It's spring and they are coming ashore to mate and lay eggs. This poor guy got hit by a wave and turned upside down. I walked over took a shot and turned him right side up. Horseshoe crabs have been around for over 300 million years.
