Inspired by Barbara Sue's capture and the word of the day, I'm sharing this photo of one of the many plants given to my family at my Dad's funeral in 1992. This one was a gift from his friends at the local golf club and I'm managed to (somewhat) keep it healthy for 22 years.
What a sweet memorial. It will last many, many years. I have a plant that is 43 years old from my husbands grandmother - she sent it to us the week we were married.
Wonderful memorial and the plant is lovely. I like the sun catcher. Was this taken through a window? It may fit for this week's theme: theme-through. My dad died a year earlier in 1991, and I planted a rose bush in his memory but it since died :( There was an inspirational story behind the planting though that I'll never forget.
@cimes1 What a wonderful tribute to your dad's memory - my grandfather's wild rose bush is still thriving in my mom's yard! And, no, the capture wasn't through the window (it was moved for the holidays and i haven't moved it back yet) But I would love to find something for the theme...I'm going to look around today.
