And now for the tech tips I've gained this month - many thanks to Katy @grammyn for introducing me to the Dodge and Burn edits to help with my lighting issues. Even though my example (top is no edit, bottom is with edit) is subtle, I really like the difference. I'll continue to use these edits in all my photos. Now bring on the color, March!

I've no idea what dodge and burn are. I've seen them as options, but I don't know what they are nor how to use them.

@cejaanderson @deb60 I didn't know either, until Katy suggested it. They can be used to lighten or darken parts of your photo. Since I have trouble getting the lighting right with my point and shoot, it's a great edit tool for me! Thanks for dropping by!
