This little yellow guy is barely an inch tall and he’s a magnet from my daughter’s seventh grade school locker. That was five years ago. I have no idea how or when it started, but this guy keeps traveling around our house and landing on anything metal. I might walk by a mirror and see him clinging to the side. Currently he’s enjoying the view from the chandelier in our two-story entry. I just realized the other day that it never seems to faze me when I pass him in a new place. He’s been hanging around so long it just seems normal. I thought as a longstanding member of our family, he deserved acknowledgment.
Those little games are really fun. My mom and sisters had a little mouse that did the same thing (I was away at college when they played, but would come home to find him in my room sometimes). A high school friend of my older son used to take great delight in moving one or more of my little knick-knacks and then wait to see when I would discover his mischief. Good to see things are just ducky in your house!
We had a little "light pull" in our basement (the ones on a chain) like that. It was a little traffic light. Got it when we were kids. It still makes an appearance somewhere when we least expect it.
So cute! Mom and I pass around this plastic sealed packet of shells. We got them as a free gift when we ordered from a bead catalog, and we thought it was so funny that they sent us these cheesy shells. Now when we send each other packages, the shells show up in our random packages, and in a stocking, or wherever!
It's one of those things you'll all remember fondly... and how cool is that? Your daughter will be old and gray, telling her grandkids about the little duck game that used to quack all you guys up. I'm glad you got a shot of him... he deserves to be in your 365!
