My friend and I attended a workshop where you paint a picture as an instructor guides you and enjoy a glass or two of wine. The subject we painted was a guitar. Even though technically we were all supposed to be painting the exact same thing, there were many variations, some far better than others. Lets just say I take photos for a reason. My guitar looked like a giant chicken nugget with a skewer in it. Ah, well, it was fun to have an evening out with a good friend and have a few laughs.
Sounds like a fun evening. I bet your picture isn't as bad as you think it is. It's fun to look at all the variations on the table there- but none of them look like skewered chicken nuggets to me, so which one is yours? (o:
I've been wanting to try Wine and Canvas! I keep seeing photos on Facebook (and now 365) and am ready to sign up each time I see these gorgeous creations! I can't paint to save my life though. Was it hard?
I love the repetition and angle of the paintings, and all the people busy in the background with the fabulous colors of the paintings mixed in. Your photo rocks!
@deniseinindy It was pretty fun, but I really am challenged when it comes to drawing and painting. I need a ruler just to draw a decent stick figure. They walk you through it step by step, and the classes are huge so you can always feel better by finding someone worse than you! I had a Living Social deal that I had to use before it expired so my choice of paintings sucked. If I had a choice, I would pick one of the abstract flower paintings.
love this shot,, and art is in the eye.. thats why I take my glasses off when viewing.. :)
