Tonight while setting the table for dinner I grabbed four forks from the drawer. When I got to the table I realized my mistake. Isn’t it funny how we’re in the habit of something and don’t realize it? Oh well, we were having something Katy doesn’t like anyway. I’m starting to see the upside of things. There was one less opinion about what we were having for dinner. Hope Katy’s having a blast.
Just wait, in less time than you can realize, you'll be setting the table again and thinking, "This is great! We usually only need two forks..." You'll never lose the enjoyment of when you were just 4, but there'll be additions in the future that will make you feel even more blessed. This is the beginning of the next chapter!
Oh, I knew where this picture was going before I read the caption because the same thing happened here. I actually had to call my sister as a distraction so I wouldn't be sad when only prepping 3 baked potatoes for dinner. But he called this evening as told us about his happy day, and we all felt better.
Cool composition! I did the same thing when my son went off to college. I still remember the day my husband and I realized that we could go out to the restaurant of our choice and not worry about our son's dissenting opinion.
I love this photo in black and white. I have a weakness for silverware art, including your photo! I hope your daughter is doing well with the transition to college.
