Today I came home to find the December issue of my Food Network Magazine in my mailbox. Whatever was bad about my day was suddenly erased by my excitement at the sight of the colorful holiday cookies on the cover of my favorite magazine. Before photography took over my life, I liked to cook. I still do, but mostly I’m obsessed with reading about food in magazines and food blogs, collecting scores of recipes, perusing cookbooks, surfing cooking websites and collecting every kitchen gadget known to man. I don’t want to mislead you into thinking I’m a fabulous cook because I’m not, but I do occasionally enjoy fixing a nice meal for my family or friends and knowing they enjoyed it makes me happy.
