Yesterday I had to visit an orthopaedic surgeon.
I have been having pain in my left hip.
Well! 10 minutes & $150.00 later I was told that I would eventually have to have a hip replacement.
Next Monday I have to have a MRA & injection of quarterzone into my hip to see if I get any relief.
I have to keep a pain diary for a week, then see the specialist again.
I'm thinking positively &I know this will work.
I have to seriously put my mind to losing a few kilos too.
I know his will also help the situation.
Wish me luck :)
Sorry to hear you have been suffering Lois , good luck with the diet & you can do it..!! I lost over a stone in weight when i was training for the Manchester 10k a lot I lost by watching what I drank & eat , & just think how fast you will get around with a brand new Hip.. keep your chin up
Lois, I wanted to ask you about your hip. Does it hurt when you walk?? Mine hurts more when I bend over or when I sit. A bit when I lay on that side too. Sound like yours?? I do have arthritis in that hip, but usually being active makes it better.
You told me about the appointment over the phone, Mum. Pain may be our friend; but it can also be something we hate too.
I'm keeping positive about this one, with the treatment offered.
