Cyst Biopsy - ouch!

Today I had a needle biopsy of a cyst on my thyroid.
I must admit it did hurt, even though I was told it wouldn't. The Doctor doing the biopsy said half way through that is was a very deep seated cyst, so maybe the anaesthetic was not administered deep enough.
I have been having trouble with my throat for about 18 months now & after having an ultra sound of my throat last week, a 2cm cyst was found attached to my thyroid.
Blood tests show that I have an under active thyroid, so this may explain my weight gain. (That's what I'm hoping is the explanation anyway).
I see an Endocrinologist Surgeon on Monday for the results.
We never know what's around the corner do we!
I'm thinking very positive thoughts.

I'm so sorry to read what you had to go through. like you said you never know what's around the next corner. all of a sudden something show up. I also hope it's not too serious and that they can do something about it. from one day to the next I had irregular heart beats. atrial fibrillation which they keep under control with heart medication.

I am so sorry I missed your recent pictures and anxiety. I wish I had been with you sending positive thoughts. How worried you must have been. Glad to learn the cyst was benign.
