Gordonia (Fried Egg Plant)
I took this shot a couple of days ago.
I just love this flower.
We planted this tree about 40 years ago.
Enjoy!

Very pretty crumply leaves. We used to have a small rather invasive plant called the poached egg plant!

Sunny side up please... every time you mention this plant, I almost ask for my eggs to be fried this way. :P
I love the way the centre of this plant is popped up like an egg yolk, ready to be popped with a fork. :D

It is a beauty Lois, and it looks like it has done quite well over the years.
