On Sunday when Gabe, Kat & Riley called in on their way to Brunswick Heads, we did a measuring of Riley's height on the door jamb in our kitchen.
We have been doing this since she was about 3 years old.
We realised that whilst she had visited often, we had forgotten to do the measuring.
From July 2011 to July 2012, Riley has grown 8cm.
She turns thirteen in October!
My how the years have flown.

You've got a darling grand daughter, Lois! Seeing the years going fast already, I can only imagine how it feels to see her become a teenager! Yes, you know I'm loving to be a grandma, too! It's as good as I'd always heard!
Now, she's taller than me! Heeheee... I'm really the short squirt of the family, aren't I? :P
