Cinnamon stick

Not crazy about these extension tubes. Anyone like using them?

I haven't tried using them myself but I've seen lots of people use them. I think this is a really good image Lois. Great contrasts here.

My husband has used extension tubes, but they are very difficult to focus apparently. He found the only to get a sharp picture was with a tripod and hands free.

I have no experience with those tubes, I have macro lens. This looks cool and I quite like that effect created by the blur edges

Neat concept, photographing the ends of cinnamon sticks. I've recently started using an EF12 and EF25 together on my 100mm macro lens. I found it only works on certain subjects to get that close and that a tripod is a must. I bought them with the idea of capturing insect images but I'm living in a dream world thinking the wind will ever cooperate and give me a still-enough day to allow a flower with a bug on it to stay still.

@judithg @lyndemc Thanks for your input on the extension tubes and macro shots. The Nikon 105mm is so heavy I was hoping for a lighter option but I fear it's not possible!!
