When my Mom couldn't raise her right arm to give me a hug goodbye after our visit last Wednesday I told the nurse that I thought something wasn't quite right. Today the nurse confirmed that Mom had a TIA (Transient Ischemic Attack) that has left her right side a little weak. I read a few chapters from a book that had her laughing and replaced her Christmas tree with a tall philodendron with white lights. She loves how the lights light up the room when she's falling asleep at night.
