Yesterday I wrote that my brother-in-law George had a problem with his vocal chords because he wasn't able to speak after waking up from the heart surgery. But the throat specialist now says that the anesthesia caused paralysis of George's tongue and they've never seen this before.
I found an interesting article by The Royal College of Anaesthetists that mentions tongue paralysis as a risk. I'll include a link to the article- the info is on top of the 2nd column!
