The carpet installer arrived yesterday but had several problems and couldn’t complete the job. The next appt is next Wednesday. I called the company and begged for an earlier day- maybe if someone cancels? They couldn’t say.

So this is the plan... our son will move his things to our house as planned - but instead of into a bedroom- it will all be moved into our family room until the carpet is installed.
What’s the hurry? He has to get out of his living situation - he gave the last month a valiant try but it’s not going to improve. Time to move on.
(Living with a soon-to-be ex-wife has been an emotional roller coaster. She went looking for ways to improve herself and decided to surprise him with divorce papers.)

What a roller coaster you must all feel you're on - sorry for your son but life will improve (speaking from experience - my second marriage lasted almost 50 years - you learn) You're sure trying your best for him. Things will settle. Your mums are lovely
