Memorial Day, originally called Decoration Day, is a day of remembrance for those who have died in service of the United States of America. It is officially celebrated on the last Monday in May. In our community, however, we have remembrance ceremonies at local cemeteries on the two Sundays before. this is from today's ceremony.
