Fieldton, Illinois, just a bit past Nutwood. There's a note painted on the front left foundation pier showing that the water level in the flood of 1993 came almost to the base of the barn. Normally (like today) the Illinois River is about 2 miles off in the distance (the hills you see are on the far side of the river)!

Thanks everybody, I appreciate the comments. I love old barns, but it does seem there’s fewer and fewer. It’s always interesting to be reminded of the flood of 1993. That was just a few years after we moved to the area, and while we were well above the flood, it was very sobering just how widespread the impact was.
