Tough day. Started off trying out my new ND filter on the pond waterfall. I think it will do the job but the sun today was just not in the right position to get the effect I wanted. Did this one just incase I didn't find anything else. Good thing because my night shots were a total bust. About 100 shots and not a single keeper. At least I can say I found out what doesn't work. Full moon is on Monday will try some more then.
It is the first of the "Lenten Roses". They are all early this year. Usually do not start until Feb. and will bloom until June. Freezing temps will not permanently hurt it but will cause it to revert back to a single bloom instead of a double. So have to shoot it early if I want the best pictures.
I am trying to take a couple when I first get up so I won't get into a jam. That's what happened today, between making soup for dinner and helping Dad go through his filing cabinets I didn't have time to do anything. I was going to try the moon again tonight but by the time the moon came out it was completely overcast. Will you be able to get your tree photo tonight?
