Rained all day. Between showers I decided to try to photograph water drops, again. Needless to say I didn't like any of them. I found this little primrose with lots of water drops on it. Yellow, of course, I hate yellow. I don't know what it is about yellow but I can never get the exposure right. With the flash on it looked mustardy with out the flash it looked like "smiley face yellow". I finally put a filter on it to tone down the color. By the time I finished I was standing in the pouring rain thinking "this camera really isn't waterproof and I better get it out of the rain". So that ended today's session.
@jupiter394 Thanks, you would have loved it. I was drenched by the time I got this shot. I was so focused on the frustrating "yellow" exposure that I didn't even notice it was pouring.
@tesssa Thanks Tessa. It's not so much that I don't like yellow but for some reason when I photograph yellow flowers they end up with this "glow in the dark" color. The original photograph was so bright it almost hurt my eyes to look at it. It must be something about how I am exposing the photograph.
This did cone out very well in the end. The yellow is nice and soft.
