Terrestrial Orchids by ltodd

Terrestrial Orchids

I went for an early morning walk around the base of Black Mountain today and found quite a few native 'blue finger' orchids in flower already. Not the easiest flowers to photograph - they are only about 2 cm in size, and are so light they sway about in even the lightest of breezes.
These remind me of the happy times I spent 'orchid hunting' with my brother in Western Australia.
The color of this flower is gorgeous. Very pretty.
