This shot is titled "16b" because it is attempt #16, and I was in a "b" mood once I finally managed to save a file without the laptop crashing! :((
I understand other 365'ers may consider processing has no place in 'photography' challenges, however the theory of balance, light, composition, colour, form & texture still apply. With each different type of challenge I am learning how other artists/photographers approach their craft and I have a greater appreciation for different styles, even when I can't master their application (like this !! :D)
This is in the gardens of the the Royal Alcazar palace in Seville (taken in 2010 because were were allowed to use our 'old' photos). I tried using a whole range of local shots, but they were even more unsuccessful than this!. Oh well, I gave this a try (LOL)
I really like this, and agree that many photographers research where they are going to shoot, aim for the right time of light, and it is hard to do somethings without a fancy edit. I found the Monet challenge actually not so easy, because you need to find the right building, garden, or person to really make the composition and feeling work even before editing.
@brumbe I totally agree with your last sentence. The lesson for me is an appreciation for that. I'm finding the 365 artist challenges are like speed dating my way through an art course! :D
