Harrington Victor Klito 3 by ltodd

Harrington Victor Klito 3

This is the next camera in Pete's collection, and the one that has given me the most trouble to identify!
This is an 'Australian' Victor camera that is a re-badged 'English' Houghton Klito 3, which was made with parts made in Germany! It was available from 1909 to about 1915.
I found a cute newspaper advert from 1912 at http://trove.nla.gov.au/ndp/del/article/15317625 and an English catalogue at http://www.historiccamera.com/cgi-bin/librarium/pm.cgi?action=display&login=23klito

This is a beautiful drop-plate mahogany and brass camera that was really tricky to photograph because it just looks like.....well, a box! Catalogue shots like this might not have the 'ooh-ahh wow-factor' of subjects such as puppies, flowers or sunsets, but they are quite a different photographic discipline to undertake.
WOW!!! What an awesome "thing" to have in your collection!
