Christmas greetings!
Before starting my 365 challenge, I could never have imagined how much I would learn - about my camera, post-processing, myself, other people, how they 'see' the world and where they live. Every single day I have had interactions with folk who are generous in nature, and positive in outlook. As I journey through my challenge I am also learning to be less disappointed with my 'dud' shots - because, in '365 world' there is literally always another shot opportunity tomorrow.
I would like to say a genuine thankyou to everyone who has ever commented on my shots, and who is patient with me as I try to find time to catch up with your pages. All of your images and comments inspire me to open my eyes and see the world in a new way. Thankyou, thankyou all! xx
What have I done to the starting image? ... I created 2 copies - one that I lightened (for the foreground) and one that I clarified (to make the the sky & the lights stand out). I then used a gradient mask to merge the two layers. I added the girl, some text and a frame and then created the 'card' using a drop shadow.
