This is a beautiful shot. Did you just process this in Lightroom or is there some HDR involved?

this is really gorgeous! did you use one of the lightroom presets? if so, you chose well... the pov and perspective are awesome and the tones really communicate the feeling of cold!

@donnz thanks Don :) no HDR, I was playing around with the split toning settings in Lightroom. I did finish it off with Topaz deNoise and Clean though.

@northy Thankyou! --- I just went back to check (and saved my finished version of the preset !!) - I started with Big Sky Strong ( http://lightroomkillertips.com/2012/presets-landscape-big-sky-presets/ ) which seems to be a graduated detail & tone filter, and Sarah's warm fade ( http://www.presetsheaven.com/2010/03/09/11-presets-for-night-shots-by-sarah/) for the split tone. I then did tweak the settings a little bit, even though there was not a lot of 'colour' in the starting shot. I like the unusual fade+split tone effect, and I can imagine this tone working on other shots.
