winter detail

The contrasts and tone of a bitterly cold afternoon.
I am not totally happy with the uploaded version as it seems to have 'softened' everything :(
(best viewed enlarged if you have time)
this is lovely... awesome tones and definitely communicates frigidity! love the b&w processing!

Hi Lyn. I have admired your photography since shortly after I arrived at 365 in mid-January and particularly noted the beautiful simplicity and purity of many of your shots. I have learned a lot through viewing your work over time. You seem to understand your camera and the art of photography really well. I love your celebration of line, texture, simplicity light, beauty, composition and subtlety. Looking through your album again now I am also struck by your wonderful creativity. So to your challenge? I couldn't find a single self portrait so thought you may like to take one. I'd prefer to be able to see your face in the image. Enjoy, I look forward to seeing what you come up with. :)

A lovely Winter image here too!

@carolinedreams ha ha & LOL I was sooo expecting that to come up in the pushed challenge cos there is no where to hide!! Can't promise it will be an 'traditional' selfie, but I will (with enormous trepidation) give it a go! My profile pic (yes the only shot of me on 365 ) was taken for work & the poor staff had such a hard time from me! I'd rate public speaking as preferable to a selfie....
You wonderful kind words about my album (almost?) help lower my blood pressure......

@ltodd Traditional is not really what I'm expecting here! Artistic license totally permitted. I'm not keen on selfies either so undertand the discomfort. I did a few a while ago and found hem oddly liberating. I hope you ultimately this push out of your comfort zones.

*enjoy* is supposed to sit between *ultimately* and *this*. It was late!

@carolinedreams haha... 'enjoy' might be too strong (LOL) "learn from" and "survive" would be more than OK though. :D
