dark places by ltodd

dark places

Ever wondered what people would see if our thoughts were visible? ....all those internal conflicts & dark places that we hide away from the world...

I am totally undecided about posting this - and as a thumbnail it certainly looks weird, but viewed large on a black screen I really quite like it ....I think?

Extremely effective

@grammyn maybe I was worried it reflects the jumble of my own mind!
@ethelperry I love how you always see beneath the surface of what I do Ethel! :) I am still not sure if it is.....well just if it ....IS... but if it makes a viewer linger & reflect on something they might not have otherwise, then maybe it ...IS... ( or something like that anyway!!)

Beautiful, potent, mesmerizing and the eyes with their defiant beauty speak to the deep beauty of her soul even if her mind sometimes gets caught up in chaos

so creative and artistic ... I'm glad you shared! I am curious about what editing program you used. FAV

@lynnz this was the quickest editing 'accident' I have had - in Photoshop I had a layer of the face, & a layer of the field of flowers shot at night under ultraviolet lights at a flower festival. It is a blend mode called 'linear burn' that did all the sneaky flowers only on the face. I positioned the flowers so they looked like a mask and then let the eyes show through.
@jgpittenger thanks Jane that is what I was trying to express, so maybe it works!
@dkbarnett thanks Delwyn, I knew it might not be everyone's 'cup of tea' and I am glad you liked it.

Very expressive! I like the message. It's universal. Visually, I really like the way the flowers are positioned behind the eyes, especially on the left eye (to the viewer). Her expression, very guarded, works well with the colorful chaos behind her.
