one penny black (WWYD33)

Western Australia has black swans, rather than white ones, so here is an Australian version of wwyd33. The (real) WA Penny Black was issued August 1st 1854, four years after WA started to accept convicts transported from England,Ireland, Bermuda and Gibralta. It was the first WA issued stamp, and the first Australian stamp with a watermark.

The image was cropped, etched and then inverted.
