it's often used these days in family studio portrait sessions. It sets your flower off really well.

@hh Thanks Kate, I did look it up. I just used a white poster board behind the flower and used the flash. I just knew I wanted the stigma and anthers to be sticking out alone on the white.

I was in a lighting workshop once where we learned to overexpose the background in order to create a 'white white' as a background to a subject ...not that I can remember how we did it now :0)

High key was a good decision for this flower - makes it pop!
