I made this for my front porch yesterday and thought I should share with all of you creative people! It looks cool twirling around in the wind.
I need to improve on it, I know I can do better on the design and the bumps in the middle are where beads were on top of the others. I saw the instructions on facebook. You just melt plastic craft beads at 400 degrees for almost an hour (instructions said 30-40 minutes but the beads weren't all melted). While it was still warm, I stuck the point of a sharp knife in it to make a hole for the ribbon (instructions said to drill a hole).
It would be a fun project for kids to design their own. It did not hurt the pan and it came right out.
wow! Thanks for the tip Lynn. From your comment it sounds very easy. Will try it, with your instructions.

This is very clever, and is very effective. We have plastic beads from when the kids were young, and you place them on a grid, cover with cooking paper, and then iron them until they melt together.
