Summer Reflections by lynnz

Summer Reflections

No need to comment on this. I'm just filling empty spots. Hubby and me at the Des Moines Art Festival when he actually suggested that we go. I thought he hated stuff like that! I was all stressed out at that time from my bitchy boss and deciding to quit my job.
Wow there are reflection upon reflections. Bitchy bosses are the worst. I think women bosses can be the worst.

@janiskay You are definitely right about women bosses being the worst! I didn't mention that, but I did have a woman boss (a lawyer). I only made it three years with her but had previously worked for the meanest attorney in town for 17 years! He had a horrible temper but wasn't demeaning like she was. Nice to be able to vent!

Gorgeous green reflections - makes an outstanding picture! Did you? Quit?

Really nice reflective shot. I understand your vent, I walked out the door at work 12 months ago, have finally used up all my accrued leave and handed in my resignation, uniforms and ID badge with a flourish I might add. A predominately female workplace, stressful job and so much bitchiness, I,like you had had enough. So much happier now. :)

@lynnz I worked for one who was so verbally abusive but I didn't make it past three months.

@maggiemae Yes, I quit right around the time this picture was taken in June. My last day was July 10. I had no intention of retiring yet, but it looks like that's what I've done! I'm old enough to get my social security and I've had no desire to look for another job!

Nice shot and reflections - and a selfie, sort of. I know what's it's like to work for a hard boss. I've had my fair share. I sure don't miss them.

@peterlgrave Very wise words of advice, Peter. Thank you! When I stop and think about it, my health has improved since I quit and I'm on a lot less high blood pressure medication.
