Foxy, Kizzy and Sheila ~ I'm just happy they've quit climbing on the curtains and I don't have to put the curtains up high when they're chasing each other all over the house! They have ruined a few big plants outside by playing, hiding in and jumping on all the leaves and flowers! We had some nice groups of yellow daylilies that are flattened!
They're very cute! This picture reminds me of a book series I used to like as a child. I think the first one was called Jenny and the Cat Club. Jenny was a little black cat and she had quite a collection of friends.
@lynnz You have 3 kittens to keep you busy. Katniss was a stray and picked me to live with. Being a Maine Coon, she is the "dog" of the cat world and I was told a good kitty for a first cat and dog person. I couldn't have asked for more. She follows me around, likes company and come to me when outside and I call her inside. Katniss is very good with my little dog and I am not allergic to her. Katniss does have long thick fur but doesn't seem to shed much and those beautiful green eyes melt my heart! I don't understand how a family could move and leave her behind??? She is a sweet smart kitty!!!
@gardenfolk The mama cat of these kittens was a stray who adopted us too! She is still terrified of other people, but loves me and my husband. I was thankful that she had the kittens in the house, because she still prefers to be roaming around outdoors. Thanks for sharing your Katniss story with me!
@lynnz We didn't know where Katniss had her litter but she brought us only one kitten at about a week old. She put it in a cardboard box in our garage full of paint supplies. After we cleaned the box out and put in a towel, she moved the little kitten to a dusty corner of the garage. That is when we moved them into our guest bath. I cared for them, like they were in the Four Seasons Hotel. The shower was turned into their sleeping quarters, Katniss had food and water, a nightlight and a litter box. Then, we turned our exercise room into a kitty play land and socializing area where we spent hours with them every day. We kept them indoor together for 3 months and I had Katniss spayed. :)
@gardenfolk Love your story! Our mama cat has been spayed now too, and I have an appointment for these three. The vet gives a discount when you take three or more. We would like to find good homes for these.
I saw this and showed Pam...then got sidetracked! She commented and I was off in another direction! I'd keep all of these...they're all adorable, and seem to happy together. Easy for me to say, isn't it?! (The B&W one looks like a little panda!)
