@jyokota The Mississippi River was frozen yesterday where we were (Fort Madison and Burlington), but a week ago the river was open and there were hundreds of eagles in different spots here in Iowa. I waited too long to go. Most rivers around here are frozen, but we were lucky to find a few places along the Des Moines River.

@wakelys I looked it up. Birds have a different blood flow system and they don't have nerve endings like we do.
