Dark Day by lynnz

Dark Day

I hope the icy drips and cold weather today don't keep our magnolia tree from blooming in all its glory! Last year the buds all fell off because of freezing weather. The tree is loaded with buds this year and I thought we had made it past the freezing temperatures, but I guess not.
~I am especially thankful for the beauty of nature during these dark, sad days.
Beautiful capture.

I wish you luck with your pink magnolia blossoms. I love them for how photogenic they are. Though there are some white ones in my neighborhood, I have to drive to the botanical garden fifty minutes away with no traffic in order to shoot a pink one. Even then it is very possible to miss their blooming season. This year, I'll miss it for sure as the garden is certain to be closed until well after the blooms are spent. So I'll just have to look forward to your photos for a tonic, this year.
