07/07/16 Remember that sometimes not getting what you want is a wonderful stroke of luck...

This started off as a reject but now I've grown fond of it lol.... my son burst into the room last week telling me to grab my camera as there was a stunning rainbow, but try as I might, the only vantage point I could get a shot from was upstairs, through a window that doesn't open.

The camera refused to focus on anything but the raindrops on the window, but I really like the result now.

It's a bit of a symbolic image this week too... I've been waiting to hear about a job that I applied for, and this week they finally got back to me to say that they want to offer me something else instead. What they're proposing does have its advantages, but it's not what I was hoping for.

So I'm happy and disappointed at the same time (which is quite annoying), but I guess I'll give it a shot and see if it works out. Only time will tell...
