Pink by m2016

Pink

A few years ago, I inherited this piece of knitting when my aunt passed away far too young after a short battle with cancer. She was one of the coolest people I've ever known, one of my favourite people ever.

She was an avid knitter, and being a knitter myself, lots of her materials were passed on to me. Among it all, there was lots of pink yarn and this half made piece of something still on the needles... I can only speculate at what it was she was making.

Those stitches are hers, and while I've since used up the rest of the yarn, I don't think I'll ever be able to rip this back... it will probably always be on the needle, just as she left it.
There is something quite nostalgic about this shot

Lovely story, it seems right to keep the knitting just as it is.

Very moving. And, as others have commented, lovely. That is the first word that came to mind. Fav, for so many reasons...

a poignant story to go with your very pretty image - perhaps you should make a print from the image to have a constant reminder.
