It was cloudy at 5am so no lunar eclipse for me, quite disappointing...
As I was walking up the road for the bus I spotted a sliver of blood red coming through the clouds way off in the direction of the beach, and I couldn't help following it, even though access to the beach is closed for works right now... figured I'd hop a fence or try to peep through a railing but it was well blocked off. At this point I took a chance on going up a road I'd never been up before, and this is what I found.
I was half an hour late for class but who cares :)

Oh well done for following your instinct on this and finding the red. I put my head through the curtains at 4am and although I could see a slither of red at the back of the horizon, it was so cloudy I turned the 5am alarm off again, in preference for sleep.
It always (well mostly) pays to walk those extra yards. This is a really beautiful sunrise. Easy fav for those colours. And I too was disappointed I didn't get to see the lunar eclipse :/
