I spent the afternoon painting a picture of this flower with Kathryn J Buehler, who also has a project on here. She knows all the names of flowers. Me....not so much. It's in the foo foo family.
Lovely pic - we call them dianthus or 'pinks' as they mostly come in shades of pinks, related to carnations I think. Hope the painting was fun - lets see a photo when it's finished
Aren't They Gorgeous!!!!! The 'Di' is Dianthus plumarius or sometimes called 'pinks'. They are a perennial and return year after year. Dainty and Delicate - Dianthus. Love this shot. Enjoyed our paint session with the bird picture taking in between. Thanks for another GREAT pic and GREAT day.
@scrapnyak Tania, it should be awesome painted, but mine is just alright. Flowers are really out of my comfort zone. Animals I can paint with ease. Flowers I thought would be a breeze.....until I tried. I'm working on it though.
