Another day of relying on the September 30 Day Challenge for inspiration. I made cookies tonight for school guests tomorrow, so this recipe in my Betty Crocker Cookbook (the one I got as a wedding gift in 1969!) was about the only thing I read... other than email and 365 comments. You can tell by the grease spots that this is a favorite page... and if you look at it magnified you can see where my daughter penciled in the recipe changes for a "personal-size batch." :)
Sorry I deleted your comment, Ris... When I actually magnified this, I realized that I hadn't saved it big enough to really magnify much, so I deleted the first one and reloaded it.

Marisa Hahaha! I was gonna say - I hope you made the chocolate no-bakes, b/c when I saw the cookbook that's the first one I thought of. Then when I blew up the picture, I could actually see the cookies. Dang it, now I want some.
I was just trying to magnify it, too. I tried 3 times, and it didn't work the first two times, then it did the third time. When I got back, I saw your new comment. LOL.
Hmmmm. this cookbook looks just like mine.............grease spots and all. I once read of a family whose mother passed away and they knew what foods to fix for the father because they cooked the things that had the dirtiest pages in the cookbook. I often think of that when I see the stains on my cookbook. Nice shot by the way!
