This is a sign you are in a small school... names on the lockers, along with volleyballs for the VB players and footballs for the FB players. And if you view it magnified, you will notice another sign you are in a small school... there are no padlocks on the lockers.
Wow!! our lockers are half that size here in the UK and thats if your school provides them...

@hagscat These are for the high school kids... the middle-schoolers are half that size and the elementary kids get no lockers at all. In bigger schools the lockers are much smaller.
