Early Afternoon Clouds by marilyn

Early Afternoon Clouds

I was so excited that I remembered my camera, we didn't have Maggie so stopping to take photos would be easier and then I saw a great shot of the sun behind the clouds. Marvin stopped the car, I got the camera out and... nothing! The freshly charged battery was still at home in the charger. :( So I pulled out my trusty iPhone and snapped a few shots, but by then the clouds had moved enough that the sun was no longer flaring and I didn't get what I had wanted. I edited out the power lines which I felt detracted from the composition and did some other tweaking and added the frame and ended up with a photo I was pretty satisfied with.
Love the line of light caused by the sun being behind the clouds. Really nice shot. I feel your frustration with the camera. It has happened to me many times! ;~{

@grammyn Thanks... That line was so much better about 2 minutes earlier! :(

@marilyn Treasure the memory for yourself and don't tell. We see what you did catch and it is grand.

good composition, like the addition of the interior framing

@hjbenson Thanks... It's one of my favorite frames though it doesn't work well on many photos. :)

Love how you continued the picture onto the frame. Very pretty! Fav!

That cloud formation is so unusual, and I love the way you framed this!

@wannabe Thank you so much for the kind words and the fav, Catherine! I love that frame (Picnik) and use it as often as I can... some might feel too often... :)

@raquelita Thanks... It's one of my favorite frames out of Picnik.

I'm seeing the rolling hills of the Palouse below the clouds and they are stunning. What photo editing program do you use? The frame is incredible!

@bigredbarn Thanks, Suzy! I mostly use Picnik (picnik.com). They have lots of editing tools that I LOVE to use, but not all of them are available in the free version. I think it is $25.00/year for the subscription, but I love to edit, so it is worth it to me. Not as complete as Photoshop and some other big-time editors, but easier to learn! :)
